The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when souls are united, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
