Never have We sent a Prophet to a place without trying its people with adversity and hardship that they may humble themselves. 94 and then We changed their hardship into ease until they grew affluent and said, "Our fathers had also experienced adversity and prosperity," then We seized them suddenly, unawares. 95 Had the people of those towns believed in and feared God, We would have showered upon them blessings from heaven and earth, but they rejected the truth. So We seized them on account of their misdeeds. 96 Do the inhabitants of the villages feel secure from Our Might coming to them at night whilst they sleep? 97 or that which could seize them during their busy hours of the day? 98 Are they then secure from Allah's scheme? None deemeth himself secure from Allah's scheme save folk that perish. 99
