۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 and that hour you are watching 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
