The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
