And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 26 and the jinn We had created before from flaming fire. 27 And when your Lord said to the angels: Surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 28 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 except iblis (father of the jinn) who refused to be one of those who prostrated themselves. 31 The Lord inquired: "Iblis! What is the matter with you that you did not join those who prostrated?" 32 (Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape." 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 unto the day of a known time.' 38 He said, “My Lord! I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I shall distract them in the earth, and I shall lead all of them astray.” 39 But not such of them as are Thy bondmen single-hearted. 40 God said, "This is the path which leads straight to Me. 41 Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee, 42 Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them." 43 it has seven gates: and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
