3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
