We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 (It was said): “Do not remonstrate in My presence. I had warned you. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
