Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
