Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
