The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
