Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down out of heaven water blessed, and caused to grow thereby gardens and grain of harvest 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
