The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 like hidden pearls, 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and clustered bananas, 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 And made them virginal, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For those on the right hand; 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
