And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
