▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
