AND, INDEED, We have created man out of sounding clay, out of dark-slime transmuted 26 while We had brought the jinn into being before out of blazing fire. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 save Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 "How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard?" 33 Allah said: then get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art one damned. 34 Condemned till the day of Doom!" 35 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 36 He said, "You are granted respite 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 Said He, 'This is for Me a straight path: 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place. 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
