And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 for what they have done 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
