Have you not seen how those who dispute the signs of God are turned away? 69 Those who belie the Book and that message wherewith We sent Our apostles, presently they shall come to know. 70 when they shall have to carry the shackles and chains [of their own making] around their necks, 71 Through boiling water, and then burnt in the Fire. 72 Then they will be asked, "Where are the idols which you worshipped besides God?" 73 Apart from God?" They will answer: "They have left us in the lurch and fled. In fact it was nothing that we prayed to before." That is how God sends the unbelievers astray. 74 that is because you exulted in the land without justification and because you behaved insolently. 75 "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) abode of the arrogant!" 76 So be patient, (O Prophet). Surely Allah's promise is true. Whether We show them a part of the woeful consequences against which We warn them (while you are still in their midst) or We recall you (from this world) before that, eventually it is to Us that they shall be brought back. 77 We sent Messengers before thee; of some We have related to thee, and some We have not related to thee. It was not for any Messenger to bring a sign, save by God's leave. When God's command comes, justly the issue shall be decided; then the vain-doers shall be lost. 78
