Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion of the Universe, and Who has power over everything; 1 He created death and life so that He might test you, and find out which of you is best in conduct. He is the Mighty, the Most Forgiving One. 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued. 4 And assuredly We have bedecked the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for satans: and for them We have gotten ready the torment of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord, is the punishment of hell; and what a wretched outcome! 6 When they are cast into it they will hear it sighing, the while it boils 7 Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" 8 They will say: yea! surely there came a warner unto us, but we belied, and said: God hath not sent down aught, we are naught but in a great error. 9 And they will say: had we been wont to hearken or to reflect, we had not been among the fellows of the Blaze. 10 So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire. 11 Surely those who fear their Lord in the Unseen -- there awaits them forgiveness and a great wage. 12 And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts. 13 Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything). 14
