But nay! I swear by all that ye see 38 And all that ye see not 39 That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah]. 40 It is not the speech of a poet little do you believe 41 Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 Had he invented sayings against Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 Then none among you would be his saviour. 47 It is really a reminder for those who fear God and follow the straight path. 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 And indeed it is a certain Truth. 51 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
