Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
