Al-nahl 14 of 16
When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but a forger": but most of them understand not. 101 Say, [O Muhammad], "The Pure Spirit has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims." 102 Yet We know what they say: "It is only a man who instructs him." The speech of the man they imply is obscure while this is clear Arabic. 103 Those who believe not in the Signs of Allah,- Allah will not guide them, and theirs will be a grievous Penalty. 104 They alone invent lies who do not believe in the words of God, and they are liars. 105 Whoever disbelieved in Allah after his belief, except him who is forced thereto and whose heart is at rest with Faith but such as open their breasts to disbelief, on them is wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a great torment. 106 For they loved the life of this world more than the life to come; and God does not guide those who do not believe. 107 Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed up, and they take no heed. 108 No doubt that in the hereafter they will be the losers. 109 ۞ Then, verily! Your Lord for those who emigrated after they had been put to trials and thereafter strove hard and fought (for the Cause of Allah) and were patient, verily, your Lord afterward is, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 110

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
