And remember Our bondman Ayyub (Job); when he cried out* to his Lord, “The devil has struck me with hardship and pain.” (After seven years of patience.) 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 And take in thine hand a handful of twigs, and strike therewith, and break not thine oath. Verily We! We found him patient. How excellent a bondman! Verily he was oft-returning. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter). 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
