Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Even then they say: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
