The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
