The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
