Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We have placed therein gardens of the date-palm and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein, 34 so that they might eat of its fruit and the labor of their hands. Will they not give thanks? 35 All glory to Him who created pairs of everything that grows from the earth, and out of themselves, and other things they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 And the moon! For it We have decreed mansions till it reverteth like the old branch of a palm-tree. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 And if We will, We can drown them, so there would be no help in their distress, nor would they be saved. 43 It is only Our Mercy (that rescues them) and enables enjoyment of life for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 And there comes not to them a communication of the communications of their Lord but they turn aside from it. 46 When they are told: "Spend of what God has given you," the unbelievers say to those who believe: "Why should we feed those whom God should have fed if He pleased?" You are only in palpable error. 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return. 50
