Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
