(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
