Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a party of the jinn listened, and they said: Surely we have heard a wonderful Quran, 1 which guides to the right path; so we have believed in it and we will not associate anyone with our Lord, 2 And He - exalted be the majesty of our Lord! hath taken neither a spouse nor a son. 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 and that [we were mistaken when] we thought that neither man nor [any of] the invisible forces would ever tell a lie about God. 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 And indeed they imagined, even as ye imagined, that Allah will not raise any one. 7 (The jinn continued saying): "We made our way towards heaven, but we found it filled with stern guards and a flame. 8 We used to sit near by and try to listen to the heavens, but shooting flames now await those who try to do that. 9 We do not know whether by this arrangement God intends benefit and guidance for the people of the earth or only evil. 10 And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways. 11 Indeed, we thought that we should never be able to frustrate God in the earth, neither be able to frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the Guidance, we believed in it, and whosoever believes in his Lord shall fear neither shortage nor injustice. 13 and that “among us some are Muslims (Those who have submitted to Allah), and some of us are deviant. So those who became Muslims found the Right Course; 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 Had they (jinn and mankind) remained steadfast in their religion (Islam), We would certainly have given them abundant water to drink 16 as a trial for them. God will make those who disregard the guidance from their Lord suffer increasing torment. 17 And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah. 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
