And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 As to what they did. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
