The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
