Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
