I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 when We opened on them a gate of severe punishment, they utterly despaired. 77
