We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Yet these say: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
