So he did not accept the truth, nor did he pray, 31 but, on the contrary, he gave the lie to the truth and turned away [from it,] 32 then he went back to his kinsfolk, elated with pride. 33 Woe to thee, (O men!), yea, woe! 34 Again your ruin has come close, still closer. 35 Does man assume that he will be let loose? 36 Was he not once a [mere] drop of sperm that had been spilt, 37 Then he became a clot; then He created him and formed him. 38 And made of him a pair, the male and female. 39 Is not He, then; able to bring the dead back to life? 40
