The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
