AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Stretch not thine eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy; and do not sorrow for them, and lower thy wing unto the believers, 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
