Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
YA SIN. 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), 2 You (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) are indeed one of the Noble Messengers. 3 On a Straight Way. 4 (This is) a Revelation sent down by the AllMighty, the Most Merciful, 5 so that you may warn a people who are unaware because their fathers were not warned. 6 The word has been proved true against the greater part of them: they will not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We shall raise a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, and cover them over so that they will not be able to see. 9 And it is the same for them, whether you warn them or do not warn them – they will not believe. 10 You should only warn those who follow the Quran and have fear of the Beneficent God without seeing Him. Give them the glad news of their receiving forgiveness and an honorable reward (from God). 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
