And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
