(Hell will never spare the disbelievers). 32 By the receding night 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
