Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light! 61 And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude. 62 Devotees of Ar-Rahman are those who walk with humility on the earth, and when they are addressed by the ignorant, say: 'Peace;" 63 and who remember their Sustainer far into the night, prostrating themselves and standing; 64 who say, 'Our Lord, turn Thou from us the chastisement of Gehenna; surely its chastisement is torment most terrible; 65 "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; 66 who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor miserly but keep the golden mean between the two (extremes): 67 And those who do not worship any other deity along with Allah, and do not unjustly kill any living thing which Allah has forbidden, nor commit adultery; and whoever does this will receive punishment. 68 (But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,- 69 save him who repents, and believes, and does righteous work -- those, God will change their evil deeds into good deeds, for God is ever All-forgiving, All-compassionate; 70 Those who repent and act righteously have truly returned to God, 71 And they who do not bear witness to what is false, and when they pass by what is vain, they pass by nobly. 72 Who, when reminded of their Lord's revelations, do not fall for them like the deaf and blind; 73 And those who say: our Lord bestow on us coolness of eyes from our wives and our offspring, and make us unto the God-fearing a pattern. 74 These shall be rewarded with high places because they were patient, and shall be met therein with greetings and salutations. 75 Abiding therein; goodly the abode and the resting-place. 76 O Muhammad, tell the people, "MyLord does not care at all if you do not invoke Him. Now that you have denied (His Revelation), you will soon be awarded such a punishment which you will never be able to avoid." 77
