Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
