The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
