The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), 2 the human being will say (in horror), "What is happening to it?" 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works. 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
