3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 All the people turned away from him 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
