Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
