The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 As they sat around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
