T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
