Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 They used to say before: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
