The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 when they were seated around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
